Cubitts launched in King’s Cross, London, in 2013 with the aim of revitalising the UK’s spectacles industry. Named after the three Cubitt brothers, engineers and master builders of Victorian London, Cubitts seek to rejuvenate the industry, without compromising on the fine craft of their frames. The spectacles and sunglasses are handmade from the finest acetate, stainless steel, rolled gold, titanium and horn. Cubitts opened the first spectacle making workshop in central London in three generations, and are reviving made-to-measure and bespoke services, de rigueur in the 19th and 20th century.
