Active teams up with Hatch Enterprise as its 2023 charity partner

30/01/2023

We’re delighted to announce our charity partnership with Hatch Enterprise.

Hatch Enterprise supports underrepresented founders from across the UK to imagine and grow impactful businesses that have a lasting and positive effect on their communities. Through their bespoke approach to entrepreneurial support, Hatch Enterprise is on a mission to build a fairer, more inclusive society where everyone has access to the power of entrepreneurship.

Since 2014, Hatch Enterprise has supported nearly 8,000 underrepresented entrepreneurs to build skills, knowledge, and confidence. They run a host of core programmes across every stage of the entrepreneurial journey, including a Launchpad, Incubator and Accelerator, and work with the wider community and partners to offer clinics, dedicated events, and one-to-one mentoring opportunities.

Hatch Enterprise’s mission resonates closely with the Active team. We firmly believe in the power of entrepreneurship to tackle some of our biggest societal challenges and that diverse teams create better businesses. We work hard to foster a culture that welcomes everyone and supports founders from all backgrounds. But we know there is still so much more to be done to create an inclusive ecosystem where everyone can succeed.

As part of our broader ESG commitments, we collectively nominated one charity to support throughout the year that’s aligned with our values and where we felt our team could provide a valuable contribution through volunteering and support.

That’s why we chose to partner with Hatch Enterprise. We have been hugely impressed by their work tackling deep-rooted inequalities in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and we are excited to support them to drive forward this vital mission.
